If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you will have seen a new badge in my Design Team section. I was chosen to be part of the 2019
Scrappers Delights design team and so here I am with my first project.
I decided to try a gate-fold card for this project. I had not ever created one before, but thought the extra space inside for decoration would work really well with these cute elements. I printed the elements for the front of the card onto Daler-Rowney Drawing paper and cut them out with my Silhouette machine. I also took the shape of the Chibi and welded it to my cardbase in Silhouette Studio so that I had half of her shape protruding from the right side of the card to overlap the left flap. I also created an offset around the Aries label and cut that shape out of light blue cardstock. I colored the images for the front of the card with my Prismacolor colored pencils expect for her shepherd’s crook which I colored with a gold glitter gel pen. Once colored, I set them aside.
I then cut two dark blue front flap panels and stamped stars on them randomly with Versamark ink and then dusted them with Perfect Pearls. Unfortunately the camera does not do well in picking up the beautiful shimmer that those stars give as they move in the light. Also with Versamark ink, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment and embossed that with white embossing powder. I then adhered the colored digis to the front of the card. The Chibi is part of the right flap and overlaps the left and the Aries label is part of the left flap and overlaps the right one.
The inside of the flaps are decorated with light blue cardstock that has some of the other bundle elements on them. The center of the card also has a star element at the top of the writing area.

This is a darling card. It is an adorable collection, especially since I am also an Aries. I've never made a card like that before, and I like the design. What a great way to use both embossing powder and Perfect Pearls. So glad you shared it at Try it on Tuesday this fortnight.
