I am excited to share another guest design project with you today. This is for the challenge blog “Kleuren met Potloden”. I was given the image from All Dressed Up called Crown of Hearts for the challenge. Those of you who follow my blog know that I am learning Procreate. I had drawn this background as part of a Procreate tutorial and thought this would make the perfect background for this little princess.
I removed the white background from the digi and then imported her into my background. I resized her to fit and then placed her on a layer between the layers of the hills and trees. I added another layer and used this to add a shadow under her feet since the sun is shining from behind her. I then exported the completed scene to a .jpg image.
Once exported I moved the image to my PC and opened it into a 4×5.25 inch rectangle in Silhouette Studio. I then added a quarter inch offset and tried various colors from the background with the eye dropper tool to fill the offset and settled on a shade of orange. I then printed the image out onto Canson C a grain paper and colored the digi with my Prismacolor colored pencils.
Once completed I cut the image down to size with my paper trimmer and added it to a standard notecard. I completed the card with a die cut sentiment added to the bottom right hand corner.
If you have a project that you have colored with pencils, I would like to invite you to share it with us at the “Kleuren met Potloden” Challenge blog. You can use any brand of pencils.
