Interactive guys

Wow, it is Friday again. Am I the only one who does not know where the time goes? I am here today with two cards, still from the new Spellbinders release which they graciously asked me to create with. The first one is from the Tinsel Time release and the second one from Gnome for the Holidays.

This is the Dancin’ St. Nick die set which creates this cute Santa with his moving legs which makes him look like he is dancing. I create him in traditional colors and placed him on a cardbase that was made out of metallic silver cardstock that I had dry embossed with a radiant embossing folder. The card was completed with a sentiment from the Tinsel Time Sentiment set that has this check mark die and its shadow.

My second card features the Holly Jolly Gnome which is also an interactive die. The gnome on the ornament swings back and forth with the swing mechanism hidden behind the big box on top. This is a versatile die set as you could use all the parts on their own – bow, ornament and gnome.

I created a card panel by embossed the Stitched Argyle background die onto it. I assembled the gnome in red, but used teal foil cardstock for the ornament and that main part of the bow. I used teal cardstock for the shadows in the bow.

I completed the card with another die cut sentiment from the Tinsel Time Sentiments set. Do you enjoy making interactive cards?

  1. What great cards, Monica. I just made my first interactive card. Well, I made the card, but my husband did the lighting for it. That was the hard part. It's a lighthouse that lights up. We are going to start making cards together. I especially love your ornament card. I'm thinking about getting the set since I've seen yours.
