Happy Friday friends. It is time for another monthly Sheetload project and this time I used the May 2026 Sheetload of Cards sketch to create a batch of prayer cards for the ladies on the health insurance prayer list. I always love how the Sheetload sketches make it possible to create multiple cards quickly while still allowing room for variety and creativity. Since one sheetload creates 12 cards and I needed 20, I made two different sets using the same patterned paper collection but changing up the patterned vellum for each version.

For these cards I wanted a soft and uplifting look, so I paired floral patterned paper with lavender cardstock and bright pops of yellow. The focal point on every card is the delicate pink poppy created with the Sizzix Wild Blooms #2 dies. I used the Hero Arts Nested Circle Dies together with stitched circle dies from my stash to frame the flowers and give the cards a finished look. The sentiment strips were printed on my printer and then cut out with the Hero Arts Sentiment Strips die, which made it very easy to create matching greetings for the whole set.

I really enjoyed seeing the two versions side by side because even though the layout and papers are the same, the different vellum patterns change the overall feel of the cards. One set uses a mottled patterned vellum that gives the cards a soft and dreamy appearance, while the second set features a checked patterned vellum that adds a little more structure and contrast to the design. It is amazing how one small change can make the finished cards feel so different.

The mottled vellum softens the stronger floral print underneath while still allowing the colors to show through beautifully. Combined with the lavender cardstock and bright yellow accents, these cards have a gentle springtime feel. The checked vellum version creates a slightly more modern look while still coordinating perfectly with the floral paper and poppy focal point.

One of my favorite parts of working with the May 2026 Sheetload of Cards sketch was how quickly everything came together once the pieces were cut. Assembly was very relaxing and it was easy to keep the designs consistent while still allowing small differences between the cards. Batch creating projects like this is always satisfying, especially when the cards are going to encourage and bless others.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and taking a look at my May 2026 Sheetload of Cards project. I will be back next Friday with another project to share with you.

I love these cards, and so encouraging. I like how you interchanged things. And beautifully assembled as always. I also like the colour scheme.
Must be such an encouragement to get a card like this. 🙂
