The idea is to use some or all of the elements in the wheel on the project. The project must have a butterfly on it though, that is mandatory.
I created a 5.5×5.5 cardbase for my project and created a card panel out of some beautiful patterned paper from my stash that was covered in butterflies. It reminds me of those pictures you see of the butterfly migrations where the sky is filled with wings. The paper included both the colors Kobe and Kobi, so it was perfect. I matted it onto a piece of Kelly Green cardstock.
I created a Kite out of Kraft cardstock and inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. I stamped my sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink and set it aside to dry. I cut a piece of craft foam the same size as the kite and it got glued to the back of the kite so that it popped off the page. When the ink was dry, I covered the kite in Wink of Stella and glued one fussy cut butterfly from the cut off of the patterned paper onto the top.
I glued a piece of thick button thread to the back of the kite before gluing it to the card front. I then cut three of the bow-ties from the Concord and 9th Hi There Bear die set. They made perfect kite tails in the same Kelly Green that the cardpanel had been cut from. I Knotted them onto the kite’s string and glued them to my card. I then covered them in Glossy Accents to give dimension and shine.
And so my card incorporates all seven of the K elements of the wheel.
