After forever, I have another project to show you which is late also. It is time for a new Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz (well it started on November 1 as always). This month our sponsor is Paper Nest Dolls and the image is Ellie with Kittens.
I designed my card in Silhouette Studio and used digital papers from the Coffee Digital Papers collection by AMBillustrations and from the Spring Plaids digital paper collection by Periwinkle Pixel Shop and then placed the digi in front. I printed this out onto regular cardstock as I wanted to try my pencils on the smoother paper. I colored Ellie with my Prismacolor colored pencils and gel pens on the two big bows on the kittens.
It took a different technique to color on the smoother paper, but I was happy with the result. This way I don’t have to print on my better quality drawing paper when I want to create a one layer panel with digitally created layers.
I completed the card by adding the panel to a dark teal cardbase and adding the sentiment from a Pink Fresh Studio die set cut out of white and black cardstock to the card. I again used E6000 spray adhesive to adhere the delicate die cuts together and it works so well. I definitely can recommend that.
We look forward to seeing you over at the Outlawz Progressive Challenge during November. You have a month to enter and it is wonderful to see all the inspiration with the same image.

Hello Monica! Hope you and yours are well! What a wonderful effect you have created with your pencils on this image. I'm a Promarker and pencils on top girl myself but I always seem to forget to do the pencil work and I shouldn't. Love the kitty fur and Ellie's hair, as well as your total design. And yes, I agree, the spray adhesive is perfect for those types of die cuts. If I could only get mine to quit being tacky on top after spraying! Haven't quite gotten enough experience to figure out how long to let it cure after spraying, I guess. Have a good one! XOX
Yes, sweet card, Monica. I love how you are great at combining digi images on one print. Coloring with PRISMA crayons is your great asset. You are a true master of crayons.
