Good morning from an overcast Arizona. We had some rain yesterday, sort of a soft rain and not a wild thunderstorm so that was a change. So recently Spellbinders had a warehouse sale and had some of their dies deeply discounted. It coincided with my having a little spending money, so guess what happened!!
The little critter on this card is from a stamp set that I won in a challenge quite a while ago and have never used. I stamped it onto Bristol Vellum cardstock with Versafine ink and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils. The paper performed a little differently to my usual choice of Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper, but I did enjoy the results of this simple coloring.
Then for the composition of my card. I cut the image out with the center panel of this die set and then embossed it will still in the die. I cut the cardframe out of yellow glitter cardstock and adhered it down to an A2 cardbase in landscape orientation. I have been trying out the Bearly Art glue with the precision tip for a while and it was priceless for this die. I popped the focal panel up on foam tape and added three punch hearts out of the glitter cardstock around the puppy.
I completed the card with a die cut sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps completed with two strips from my Dymo label maker. I recently saw someone ask about it in a Facebook group that I am in and I thought it was a brilliant idea. Custom reverse sentiments without the hassle of stamping them and getting ink in the letters.
